  1. Wonderful! I wonder how long it took the Cereus to reach that height? The blooms are fantastic.

    1. They grow fast for a cactus, one to two feet per year with good care so guessing it would be about six years old.

  3. Wow, impressive! We don't see Cactuses that big around here--unless they're indoors. That's a great combination of plants, too!

    1. I think this one was already a good size when planted but it has weathered a few freezes too. They use mostly native plants and it looks good even in winter.

  4. Wow! WOW! How many fender benders has that spectacular arrangement caused?!! Are those blossoms at all fragrant? I'm pretty sure I'd be compelled to stop and sniff!

    1. It is by a 4-way stop so that helps. The other drivers get impatient when I stop too long.

    2. They look very similar to the night-blooming cereus flowers so I think they would be fragrant.
