A few fun things for Friday

Happy Day After Thanksgiving!  Or should I say happy Turkey Noodle Soup Day, which is our favorite way to use leftovers.  We didn't go shopping and plan on sticking close to home all weekend.

There are still flowers in the garden.

Figs and Pomegranates to enjoy.

There are Christmas decorations to get started on and walks to take.  The view outside my window has been a parade of neighbors and families enjoying this beautiful day.  I plan to join them soon.   I hope you are also having a good time.

  2. Rainy and windy here, so a day for a cozy fire and nibbling on tasty leftovers. What a treat to have figs and pomegranates...I assume from your own garden.

    1. Yes, they were picked this week. Figs are usually done by September and Pomegranates are the best ever this year.

  3. I'm happy you had a pleasant Thanksgiving and day after! We hosted and I'm just now feeling ready to crawl out of my laziness of the past two days. We will have mild weather the next two days, so I think I'll take a hike. :)

  4. I love your arrangement in the Fitz and Floyd fox pitcher! Now the long weekend is over and it's time to go to work again. Sigh. It was fun while it lasted.

  5. Sounds lovely there. Walks this time of year in my area usually require rain coats, and sometimes rain pants, too. No pomegranates or figs to harvest here, but I do need to dig my oca, yacon, and mashua soon.

  6. I like the sound of the day after Thanksgiving - particularly the turkey noodle soup. I will give that a try after Christmas!
