Pam Penick to speak in San Antonio June 17th

Austin blogger, author, and garden writer Pam Penick will be in San Antonio on Monday, June 17th 2013, to speak at the Gardening Volunteers of South Texas (GVST) Gardening Essentials lunch series and you are all invited.

Pam's talk will cover topics from her book Lawn Gone! Low-Maintenance, Sustainable, Attractive Alternatives for your yard. I love this cover, the vignettes are inviting and inspiring.

Lawn Gone! is a great guide for those of you who want to cut back on lawn and replace it with groundcover and hardscape or create a garden of native and adapted plants like the gardens Pam features in the book and on her blog Digging.   I attended Pam's entertaining and informative talk in Austin in February so I can highly recommend it.  You can get a preview of her talk from my post on the event hereLawn Gone! is available at Amazon and other online book sources.

You can also read my review of Lawn Gone! from March here

The talk will begin at noon in the San Antonio Garden Center which is across the parking lot from The San Antonio Botanical Garden at 3310 N. New Braunfels St. at Funston St.  The event is open to the public and is free.  The GVST will be accepting donations if you wish to help with expenses.

Pam will be available to sign copies of her book after the talk.  I'll be there and I look forward to seeing  my San Antonio gardening friends and meeting those of you I haven't had the opportunity to meet in person yet.
