Project Topsoil is done! I'd do a victory dance if I felt like dancing. We did it all ourselves and finished around 3:00 this afternoon in just over 72 hours.

Saturday afternoon
Today at 5:00 p.m. Done!
The dirt is off the driveway and placed in the planting beds or piled up where it's needed for the future. It wasn't too hard and we did take plenty of breaks.
Thank you all for your encouraging and fun comments!
Much work to do here... But I am enjoying seeing your progress on that mulch pile, and in the last post, we even got to see Mr. Rock-Oak-Deer. Is that a white Autumn Sage in bloom?
ReplyDeleteYes, the real work is just beginning. This is the year to get the backyard done. Of course, Mr. R-O-D is an important part of the process. Those photos were too good to leave out and my wonderful Mother-in-law reads every post.
DeleteThat is white Autumn Sage that has been an impressive performer in part shade winter. I need more of those.
Good job. And, I feel your pain. I just cleaned out one small bed yesterday, and planted a rosemary, and I was tired. Maybe it's the aftermath of up and down ladders, painting the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing photos of the backyard progress.
Thanks Linda, I know how that feels since we are also updating the inside of our house at the same time. Retirement? This is work! Our goal this summer is to enjoy what we've accomplished so far.
DeleteThat looked like a lot of hard work, but at least your garden will appreciate it.
