We walk this section of the river at lunch and while I've taken my camera with me to catch the interesting creatures, we're going to fast to get great shots like you've shared. Good to know you don't plan to skip SA in the future.

Abbey - Thanks, I've seen just a bit of the Mission Reach so far but loved how they've opened up space around the missions. My plan is to cover the entire Riverwalk over time. Anyone who hasn't visited San Antonio in a while and is into gardening will love it. Even if you aren't into plants, it's refreshing and beautiful.Abbey Forneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14866614408026320025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6808857981868159973.post-51282872526472033672011-11-18T10:55:27.373-06:002011-11-18T10:55:27.373-06:00I am there! I definitely recall the Carlos Cortes work elsewhere in SA. I especially like that you show how the plant masses work throughout, against each other or walls, water, etc.

The slopes along the area - seems they can do something else. That is the spot for smaller, drought-hardy plants, not higher water use plants like lawns or larger trees.

Brown rosemary...that IS dry!Desert Dweller / David C.http://desertedge.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6808857981868159973.post-32219658445999055372011-11-18T09:58:15.121-06:002011-11-18T09:58:15.121-06:00As many times as we've been to the Riverwalk, ...As many times as we've been to the Riverwalk, we've never been on this part.
We'll have to fix that.Linda/patchworkhttp://patchworkgarden.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6808857981868159973.post-66866697229022822142011-11-17T21:35:59.636-06:002011-11-17T21:35:59.636-06:00They did a great job with the design and landscapi...They did a great job with the design and landscaping.
