The crows here seem to ...Fantastic photos, Shirley! The crows here seem to drop at least half of the peppermint willow (Agonis) branches they pick for their nests too. Perhaps they belatedly determine they're sub-par? One year I tried collecting the dropped stems and created a huge pile of these in a hanging basket for easy retrieval. They were ignored.
